Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare menu items according to Laforêt’s recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

  • Complete daily prep work, including ingredients, sauces, and station setup.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace following food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently as required for each station.

  • Support inventory management by properly storing ingredients, labeling items, and minimizing waste.

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.

  • Perform dishwashing duties by ensuring all dishes, cups, kitchenware, and tools are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and restocked promptly.

  • Communicate proactively with front-of-house team to ensure timely service.

  • Follow all operational standards and contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.

Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (line cook, prep cook, dishwasher, or equivalent).

  • Ability to communicate effectively during daily operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety practices (FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset).

  • Experience working with kitchen equipment such as mixers, fryers, or knives.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Strong teamwork mindset and willingness to learn kitchen production systems and standards.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Positions are available for part-time or full-time employment.

  • This role is based on a shift schedule, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, depending on operational needs.

  • Candidates must be available to work on weekends and public holidays as part of the regular schedule.

  • Flexibility with hours and willingness to support peak periods is preferred.
